Christ the King will celebrate its 62nd Anniversary and our parish's patron feast day on Saturday, November 24, 2011.
Our 2010 celebration began with a Habitat for Humanity Work Day! We gathered in the Atrium at 8:30am in our work "grubbies" and gloves then travelled to the worksite and began the day's labor of love at 9am.
The whole parish was then invited to a very special Mexican Fiesta, as the Big Truck Taco Truck and classical guitarist Edgar Cruz helped us continue our celebration of the Feast of Christ the King!
The 10am Mass on Sunday, November 14 was celebrated in Latin, and the musical setting was Schubert's Mass in G Major. Written in the space of five days, Schubert's Mass in G Major is the shortest and simplest of his seven Masses. Eucharistic Ministers who are newly commissioned or recommissioned received a special blessing at all Masses on the weekend of November 13-14 last year.
