Habitat Work Day

Work Day!

Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity

Christ the King partners with Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity at least once a year for Saturday Work Days at one of their Habitat for Humanity builds. Volunteers gather in the Parish Center Atrium at 8:30am for coffee and coordination, then everyone travels to the worksite and begin the workday at 9am. Volunteers pick a place to eat together at noon and go back to the worksite by 1pm. The workday ends around 3pm. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age, and parental consent is required for all volunteers under age 18. Please wear work clothes, as we get dirty. There is no need to bring tools, but work gloves (and water bottles in hot weather) are a good idea. Watch your Sunday bulletin and CK Magazine for upcoming Habitat Work Day dates.

A Brush with Kindness

A Brush with Kindness is a locally-operated program sponsored by Habitat for Humanity, serving low-income homeowners who struggle to maintain the exterior of their homes. Christ the King will participate in A Brush with Kindness on
