Altar Servers

Altar Servers assist the sacristan in preparing for Mass and the Celebrant during Mass. Training is once a year in the fall, but children wishing to serve who are unable to attend training may arrive 45 minutes prior to their first scheduled Mass to receive individual training.  Any parishioner who is in fifth grade or older is qualified to become an altar server.  Please contact Kelly Fanning at 242-4516 or kelly@ckokc.org to have your child added to the roster.  You will need to let her know which Mass you regularly attend, and the server will need to arrive 30 minutes early for their first scheduled Mass.

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist distribute Holy Communion at Mass and also take Holy Communion to the sick and homebound of our community.  To serve as a Eucharistic Minister one must be in good standing with the Church, attend Mass regularly and contribute their time, talent and resources for the benefit of the parish. Eucharistic Ministers are chosen by the pastor and approved by the Archbishop. Eucharistic Ministers are commissioned once a year on Christ the King Sunday, the last Sunday of November.  If you wish to be considered for this ministry, please contact Jayne Clark at 242-4511 or jayne@ckokc.org.  If you are currently a Eucharistic Minister and wish to take Holy Communion to our sick and homebound parishioners, please contact Pam Cullen at 842-1483 or pam@ckokc.org.  

Lectors

Lectors proclaim the Word of God during the Liturgy of the Word after prayerfully reviewing the scripture passage.  Lector training is provided.  Anyone who is a confirmed and practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church is qualified to become a Lector.  For more information, please contact Leo Morrison at 842-0012.  

Ushers

Ushers provide assistance to the celebrant and congregation before, during and after all Masses, including taking up collections, counting the congregation, and distributing the weekly bulletins.   Any parishioner is qualified to be an usher, and we are particularly in need of ushers at the 8:00am Mass.  For more information or to volunteer, please contact Gary Atkinson at 348-9263. 

Giftbearers

Individuals or families bring the offertory gifts to the altar during Mass. To volunteer for this ministry, please contact Gary Atkinson, 348-9263.

Greeters

Greeters are individuals, couples or families who help create a welcoming environment by greeting parishioners and visitors as they enter the church for Mass.  Any parishioner is qualified to be a greeter, and the commitment is usually once per month.  For more information, please contact Cindy Rice at 843-4766 or cindy@ckokc.org.
