Each year in June (usually on the first Wednesday) Fr. Rick takes the altar servers to Six-Flags in appreciation for their year of faithful service to the parish. Fr. Rick pays for admission, but each participant asked to contribute to the cost of transportation. The bus leaves Christ the King at 6am, returning around midnight. The group stops in Gainesville for breakfast on the way to Arlington and again for dinner on the way back to Oklahoma City. Participants should take along sunscreen, bottled water and money for arcade games and food ($40 or so is recommended). You may take small electronics, cell phones, etc. at your own risk. Nothing of value should be left on the bus, as the transportation company is not liable for loss or theft of items.This year the transportation fee is $30.
