OCIA AND ADULT CONFIRMATION

God loves you!  He became human like you, giving his life to save you.  He is with you always and will free you and strengthen you for the life you are meant to live!

God entrusted the Catholic Church with this message sending forth the disciples to spread this Good News.  We want to share this Good News with you!

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, or "OCIA", is a process by which seekers learn more about the what the Catholic Church professes in order to determine their own desire to be Catholic and prepare to receive the Sacraments which will bring them into full communion with the Church.

More importantly, however, our hope for individuals who enter into this process is that they depeen their relationship with Jesus Christ in His Church so that they may discern His will in their lives and live more fully His call for them.

Our goal at Christ the King is to present the faith in a way that allows each individual the freedom to discern their own path and interest in becoming Catholic.  Our purpose is one of support, encouragement and education on the truths of the Catholic faith.  Our classes, experiences, and rites are all focused on providing an environment of hospitality, open inquiry and discernment while we walk with you on this journey.

• have not been baptized and/or come from a non-Christian religious background
• are baptized in another Christian tradition but desire membership in the Catholic Church
• wish to learn more about the Catholic Faith but are uncertain about becoming Catholic
• are Catholics who have not been confirmed or those who wish to deepen their understanding of the faith.
